Life's Circle: Mapping Earth's Phylogenetic Diversity

I had been dreaming about an online Tree of Life that could depict all species of life on Earth in a zoomable database that was visual and captivating. I even went so far as to discuss the feasibility of the idea with others. After many times trying to understand the online tools available and how they might share their data I found precisely what I dreamed of making. It was just there as if hiding from my too pointed searches. It is called One Zoom and it resides at this URL: https://www.onezoom.org/

I highly recommend this incredible resource for anyone interested in life and nature. You can zoom in on a life form’s relatives and see how long back they branched off from one another. It contains listings on over 2 Million Species ! With the disclosure that we are on the nerdy end of the spectrum, this is really the coolest thing we have found on the internet since Google Earth. Please have a look.
