KENYA SAFARI: 18th February to 5th March 2023

18th February: Nairobi to Laikipia

This morning you will arrive at Jomo Kenyatta Airport, Nairobi, at 05h00 with Kenya Airways KQ101 and be met by a representative from ‘Tradewinds’ who will escort you through immigration and customs, and out to your awaiting East African Air Charters aircraft for your private charter flight straight up to Tumaren airstrip, departing at first light.

18th to 21st October: Tumaren Camp

Set on the edge of a wide plain this beautiful camp looks west towards granitic inselbergs that define our local landscape. Each tent is furnished uniquely and all the tents offer sweeping verandas from which most of our plains game can be spotted. The grasslands are rich with wildlife and you can spend hours watching animals wander by or photographing the huge variety of birds coming to the bird bath.

Tumaren is rich in wildlife and our Samburu and Masai guides provide a great perspective on not only the game but also the local cultures of Northern Kenya. Our guides will plan the days according to your desires, wildlife and the local calendar. Each day can include guided walks, camel rides, visits to the camel creche, game drives, birdwatching, picnics, tracking, visiting a local manyatta or market (if the day is right), visiting a school and rock climbing.

25th February: Laikipia to South Coast

At midday your East African Air Charters private charter plane will fly straight from Tumaren airstrip to Wilson Airport, where you will need to transfer across to the Safarilink building to check-in for your 14h00 flight to Lamu, arriving at approx 15h15. On arrival you will be met by a driver, organised by Sandarusi, to transfer up to the beach house.

25th to 4th March - Sandarusi House, Tiwi Beach, South Coast

4th March: Diani to Nairobi

This afternoon, Sandarusi will transfer you back across to Ukunda Diani airport for your return flight to Nairobi departing at 15h30, arriving at Wilson Airport at approx 16h45. On arrival you will be met by drivers from Airports & Beyond who will take you across to Four Points by Sheraton for the night.

5th March: Depart

This morning, you will take the hotel shuttle across to Jomo Kenyatta Airport to check-in for your Kenya Airways departure to London at 09h35.
