7th April: Arrive in Nairobi/ Tamarind Tree
On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta Airport at 20h40 with Air France AF814, you will be met outside arrivals by a driver from ‘Airports & Beyond’ to whisk you across to the Tamarind Tree Hotel - your base for the next three nights.

10th April: Nairobi to Nanyuki / Soames Hotel
This morning at 09h00 you will be met in reception by a driver from ‘Airports & Beyond’ to head north to Nanyuki. Nanyuki is a fair-sized town on the Equator and adjacent to Mt. Kenya (Africa’s second highest peak). The drive is about 3.5 hours. There is a great deal to see as the landscape changes from the sprawling “suburbs” of Nairobi, through lush hill country, before coming to the Laikipia plain. You will arrive in Nanyuki in time for lunch, and spend the afternoon exploring Nanyuki and its surrounds.

11th April: Nanyuki to Borana
This morning at 09h00 you will take a beautiful drive further North, with a driver from Odyssey Safaris, up to the Borana Conservancy at the foot of Mt Kenya.

11th to 13th April: Borana Lodge

You will spend the next two days enjoying this spectacular lodge and the many activities they have to offer. The Borana Conservancy strives to retain the land as a pristine wilderness that guests are able to enjoy first hand. Walk through the bush, ride across the conservancy on horses or mountain bikes, view the wildlife in open-top safari vehicles, or lounge at the infinity pool and enjoy the view.
13th April: Borana to Tumaren
This morning at 09h00, you will be met by a driver from Karisia and transferred down to Tumaren (approx 3hrs+)

13th to 16th April: Tumaren Camp, Laikipia
Set on the edge of a wide plain this beautiful camp looks west towards granitic inselbergs that define our local landscape. Each tent is furnished uniquely and all the tents offer sweeping verandas from which most of our plains game can be spotted. The grasslands are rich with wildlife and you can spend hours watching animals wander by or photographing the huge variety of birds coming to the bird bath.
Tumaren is rich in wildlife and our Samburu and Masai guides provide a great perspective on not only the game but also the local cultures of Northern Kenya. Our guides will plan your stay according to your desires, wildlife and the local calendar. Each day can include guided walks, camel rides, visits to the camel creche, game drives, birdwatching, picnics, tracking, visiting a local manyatta/market and visiting a school.
16th April: Laikipia to Masai Mara
This morning a Karisia driver will take you across to Loisaba airstrip (approx 1.5hrs), to meet your scheduled Safarilink flight departing at 09h10 to the Masai Mara

16th to 19th April: Kichwa Tempo Tented Camp, Masai Mara
The Masai Mara is located in South Western Kenya & together with Tanzania’s Serengeti it forms one of the world's most diverse and spectacular eco-systems.
Sprawled along the Saparingo River on the edge of the Oloololo escarpment, where riverine forest meets the sweeping plains in the seasonal path of the awe-inspiring Great Migration, the Kichwa Tembo Camp provides an authentic dose of African wildlife, delivered with legendary Kenyan hospitality.
Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp is situated on the western border of the game rich, Masai Mara National Reserve, in the Mara Triangle – the most productive part of the Mara ecosystem. Meaning ‘head of the elephant’ in Kiswahili, Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp is set on a private concession leased from Maasai landlords.
Lying at the base of the Oloololo Escarpment just below the area where Out of Africa’s most famous scene was shot, the camp overlooks the plains of the Masai Mara with game frequently viewed in front of the camp.
Activities available include unforgettable game drives in customised, open vehicles where you can expect to encounter large numbers of plains game and spectacular predator interaction. The location, on a private concession not only has some of the best views in the Mara, but enables guests to take part in activities such as walks and night drives that are not available in the national reserve. Bush breakfasts and dinners, as well as authentic cultural interactions can also be arranged.
19th April: Laikipia to Nairobi/ Depart
This morning you will be transferred back across to the airstrip to meet your scheduled Safarilink flight departing at 11h00 to Wilson Airport, Nairobi. On arrival at 12h20, a driver from ‘Airports & Beyond’ will be waiting, and at your disposal until taking you across to Jomo Kenyatta Airport for your evening departure on Air France at 22h50..
