22nd to 30th December 2024

22nd December: Arrive in Nairobi/ Fly to Laikipia

On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta Airport with Kenya Airways at 05h25 on KQ101, you will collect your luggage and bikes and meet your East African Air Charters private plane to fly straight up to Tumaren. (Bikes & any extra bags will be collected and taken up to Tumaren by road - to be at Camp by approx 15h00)

22nd to 26th December: Tumaren Camp, Laikipia - Exclusive Use

Set on the edge of a wide plain this beautiful camp looks west towards granitic inselbergs that define our local landscape. Each tent is furnished uniquely and all the tents offer sweeping verandas from which most of our plains game can be spotted. The grasslands are rich with wildlife and you can spend hours watching animals wander by or photographing the huge variety of birds coming to the bird bath.

Tumaren is rich in wildlife and our Samburu and Masai guides provide a great perspective on not only the game but also the local cultures of Northern Kenya. Our guides will plan your stay according to your desires, wildlife and the local calendar. Each day can include guided walks, bike rides, camel rides, visits to the camel creche, game drives, birdwatching, picnics, tracking, visiting a local manyatta/market (if the day is right), visiting a school and rock climbing.

26th December: Tumaren to Loldaigas

This morning, you will be transferred across to your land at LVC. The drive is about 3 hours and you will be there for lunch. Overnight on each property in our lightweight dome tents. Meals will all on the Goodfellow property. Full board accommodation with all drinks included.

27th to 30th December: Mobile Camp, Loldaigas - Campi Ya Arusi

Charlie’s e-bikes, Nickson and Jamie will meet you all on the 27th and get the bikes fitted and ready for your next adventure. After breakfast set off into the Loldaigas and camping at Camp Ya Arusi.

The camp will be the Karisia mobile camp and each tent with their own toilet. The showers are shared. Full board accommodation with all drinks included.

Each day we will explore a new part of the Loldaigas enjoying picnics and walking / drives in the afternoons.
