LEWA SAFARI CAMP
3 Nights
9th to 12th February: Lewa Safari Camp
Visitors to Lewa are privy to some of the most spectacular wildlife viewing that Kenya has to offer: lion, leopard and jackal thrive on the rich diversity of prey that inhabits the area. The Wildlife Conservancy is home to the largest concentration of Grevy’s zebra in the world, and its range of habitats attracts diverse birdlife and hosts over 200 Black and White rhino.
Featuring large tented bedrooms with verandahs and full en-suite bathrooms, Lewa Safari camp offers authentic comfort for its visitors; cozy log fires in the sitting room are perfect for relaxing after a day in the Conservancy. This unique and exclusive retreat offers privileged access to 65,000 acres of private protected wilderness.
You will spend the next three nights enjoying this spectacular Camp and the many activities they have to offer - including game drives, guided walks, sundowner excursions & bush breakfasts, and the swimming pool. Other activities including horse riding & evening camel rides, cultural visits, a visit to nearby Ngare Ndare Forest and the Blue Pools are offered at an additional cost.
The Lewa Safari Camp guides are based in camp within Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, and are some of the best guides in the country. Most are from neighbouring communities and have been guiding within the Conservancy for many years, some for over 15 years, they know the botany of the area, palaeontology history of the Lewa, as well as an intimate knowledge of the rhinos, cheetah and lion families. The guides are Bronze or Silver level Kenya Professional Safari Guides Association certified, and they also receive training directly from the Conservancy to the “Lewa Standard”. The walking guides are trained armed rangers from the Conservancy.

sarara tree
3 Nights
12th to 15th February: Sarara Tree, Namunyak
In the Northern Frontier District of Kenya lies the Namunyak Wildlife Conservancy, an area of 850,000 acres of pristine wilderness encompassing the Mathews Range of mountains. The savanna plains and lush mountain slopes are home to elephant, leopard, reticulated giraffe, wild dog and kudu in ever increasing numbers. This remote and dramatic landscape is also home to the local Samburu people whose age-old traditions, including the famed ‘singing wells’ are as much a part of the fabric of this land as the wildlife.
Opened in 2018, Sarara Tree is nestled into a forest glade at the foot of Uarges mountain, one of the seven Samburu sacred mountains. The 8 tents are built on a platform in the tree canopy giving a unique experience of wildlife walking underneath.
For the next few days you will be able to relax and enjoy all the daily adventures on offer, including day & night game drives, guided walks, hiking in the montane forests of the Mathews mountains, trips to Reteti elephant sanctuary (entrance fee extra), De Brazza monkey hike and village visits.
