Luxury Walking Safaris
Our Luxury Walking Safaris place a great emphasis
on comfort. Our tents are large and spacious and on cuisine
and particularly drink, we do not hold back (open bar - beer,
wine and spirits). On our luxury trips any optional adventures
such as visiting a Masai Manyatta are included in the cost.
The Luxury trips are guided by James Christian, Kerry Glen or
Gabriel Ewoi, all accomplished guides and hosts.
The following itineraries can be guided as a Samburu
Led Safari, an Expedition
Safaris or as a Luxury trip. Please have a look at the following
itineraries. Remember that they are only examples and that,
should you want to book a walking safari we will want to talk
to you to create your own itinerary based on your own interests.
Please do not hesitate to contact
us with any questions.
Unlike
a vehicle-based safari, a walking safari allows the traveller
to enjoy a more intimate insight into Kenya's animals and its
people. Join us for a safari of a lifetime!
"We
found and hired Karisa through the Internet -- we were rewarded
with a fantastic first safari experience in Kenya. We rode
camels, hiked with Masai warriors, saw many animals, and learned
a tremendous amount about Kenya. We highly recommend Karisia
-- the personalized treatment we recevied was better than
any tour group we could have gone on, and we were able to
customize our own safari that fit the needs of our family,
including our two young children. We highly recommend this
company!"

In order to view these safaris in Google
Earth you must download
Google Earth free here. Another option is to get
a 'plug in'
for a browser like Firefox or Explorer 6/7. After
you have downloaded these you can download the above
files, either saving them to open (say to your desktop)
or choosing to open them with Google Earth in the dialogue
box that is generated when you press the above safari
KMZ files. These files can also be imported to a handheld
GPS so that walkers can track their progress as they
walk.
