7 May: Nalarai
After breakfast we will drive for about an hour to a spot where we will meet our team of camels and we will walk down to the river where our camp will be set. On the way we might see greater kudu on the hillsides. We will arrive at our shady camp at Nalarai in time for lunch and will be welcomed by our team of Laikipia Masai and Samburu. After lunch we will relax and go out on an evening walk, hopefully trying to track Wild Dog. This area is very hilly and rocky and they often den in these areas.
8 May: Nagaratat
We will walk on downstream keeping along the river and hopefully see
the local herds bringing their livestock to drink. We will arrive in
time for lunch and spend the rest of the day enjoying this shaded camp.
There are a huge variety of birds along the river as well as Klipspringer
on the steep rocky slopes. We will go on an evening stroll and sundowners
on a rock.

9 May: Namasaa
We will walk on, further downstream, towards Namasaa a famous crossing
place on the river. On the way we will look for elephant and the peculiar
Pancake Tortoises that live in cracks in the rocks. The landscape is
spectacular and we will camp under some enormous Neutonia Trees, watching
out for hippos in the deep pools. We will be likely to be serenaded
by Pearl-Spotted Owlets.
10 May: Nantodo
We will wake up very early and set off as the sun is rising. We will
walk up a long hill to an awesome pinnacle called Ngai Suisui. It has
a dramatic 360 degree view of the area and is also the nesting site
for a pair of Verreaux Eagles. We will then walk down in to the drier
country and stop along the edge of a sand river for our breakfast before
setting off again. We will arrive at Nantodo for a late lunch. Our camp
is under some shady Tortillis trees with huge sand beaches stretching
to the river. Behind the camp is Nantodo mountain, another spectacular
pinnacle that we can try to climb in the evening or simply relax in
camp.
11 May: Nantodo
Tonight we will camp in the same camp on the river again and we can
walk up the rock monolith, Nantodo or else we can relax and take short
strolls in the area.

looking for elephant or visit a local manyatta.
