6 NIGHT WALKING SAFARI IN THE MATHEWS RANGE
Good for scenery, culture and birdlife
8 – 14 Kms covered each day

9 June
We will meet you in Nanyuki and drive to the start of the safari.
The drive takes us through Ol Donyo Uasin towards the Mathews Range to our first camp at Kalepo.

9 and 10 June:
We will spend two nights at the first camp as the drive is so long to get to the start of the safari and we also want to look for the shy Debraza Monkeys which only live in this part of the Mathews Range. We can walk up high in to the forest and enjoy the cycads. The camp is at a beautiful glade with big rock pools that are perfect for swimming in.

11 – 14 June:
We will leave start our walk along the Mathews and for the next few days we will be moving camp each night. The team will set up camp each day where there is water, either a spring or a stream depending on where we are. The walk takes us along the eastern side of the Mathews and then up and over the hills to our last camp near Kitich.

14-15 June:
Our last camp will be under a huge fig tree looking across a glade with a stream running through it.

15 June:
We will say goodbye to the camels and walk down to where our vehicles will meet us and we will drive to Nanyuki.
